ADHD Medications
It's important to know which medications your insurance covers and what tier they fall under. If your insurance provider doesn't offer a list of medications by diagnosis, please contact them to check coverage for the medications listed below.
If your child has difficulty swallowing pills or capsules, pay special attention to the medications marked with an asterisk (*). These capsules can be opened and sprinkled on food.

Adderall XR* (amphetamine-detroamphetamine capsules or mixed amphetamine salts capsules)
Vyvanse* (lisdexamfetamine dimesylate capsules OR chewable tablets)
Dexedrine spansule * (dextroamphetamine sulfate ER oral capsule)
BRAND ONLY MEDICATIONS (unlikely to be covered without a trial of other meds)
Qulillivant or Quillichew ER (methylphenidate HCl ER liquid/chewables)
Astarys (serdexmethyphenidate and dexmethylphenidate liquid/capsules)
Jornay PM (methylphenidate HCl ER)
