Medication can be an important part of treatment for children with anxiety or depression, and I’ve seen its benefits both in studies and in my own practice. That said, I strongly believe medication should be paired with ongoing therapy.
If your child’s therapist thinks medication might help, feel free to reach out to schedule an in-person consultation. I’m also happy to coordinate with the therapist—ideally with a brief call on the same day as our first appointment.
First time appointments are typically in person at our downtown office, but most follow-ups can be done via telemedicine before or after school hours.
